Our brains are amazing, there is no denying that. However, what if I told you that what we consider “reality” actually consists of our brains making guesses and estimates.
We know this because researchers have devised ways to consistently fool our brains into seeing things they’re not really seeing. These little reality busters are known as optical illusions.
Optical illusions may completely mislead our mind. Using colour, light and perspective in a specific manner may make you crazy. Impulses received by our sight totally deceive the perception.

1. I started to get worried when the car carried on towards the concrete posts. They look so realistic … but they are just painted on the floor and appear 3D!
2. Is this train going into the tunnel or out of it At first it seems obvious but if you concentrate hard enough you can change the direction of the train.
3. After initially inspecting the chair you’d be forgiven for thinking that everything appears normal. But as the man approaches and sits down you realise you’ve been tricked! I think after that I would rather just not sit on this chair.
4. This little set up can literally go on and on and on forever in a constant loop.
5. This one took me a while to get. Which direction is she spinning, left or right? I was convinced he could only be spinning one way but if you look close enough you can trick your mind into seeing the opposite too!
