The Inspirational Story of the Pregnant Dog and the Elephant
An elephant and a dog became pregnant at the same time. 3 months down the line, the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later it was pregnant again and nine months later gave birth to a dozen puppies. The pattern continued.
On the 18th month, the dog approached the elephant questioning, “Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth 3 times. My litter is grown, yet you are still pregnant. What is going on?”
The elephant replied, “There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy, but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, humans stop and watch it in admiration. What I carry draws attention since what I am carrying is mighty and great.”
Motivation: Don’t lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers. Don’t be envious of another’s story. If you haven’t yet received your own blessing, don’t worry! Say to yourself, “MY time is coming and when it hits the surface of the ground, people will come from miles just to catch a glimpse.”
Keep holding on to your dreams and never give up. If you are patient, persistent, and keep your efforts in the right direction, fate will take its course.
