If you are looking for a quick and easy bake then these super easy flapjacks are the perfect treat for you. Yummy but also packed with healthy oats which makes this a guilt free treat. These super easy flapjacks are also are perfect for little children to help with as you can really get hands on with the mixture.
120g porridge oats (2 1/3 cups)
60g softened butter (1/2 a cup)
60g light brown sugar (1/2 a cup)
1-2 tbsp golden syrup (1/4 cup)
Heat your oven to 180C/ fan 160C/ 350F
Mix all the ingredients together really well in a mixing bowl
Grease a baking tin and pour the mixture in, making sure to push everything down with the back of a spoon to make sure its packed tight together. Cook for 10 minutes approx or until golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Do not attempt to remove from the baking tin straight after as the flapjack will be very soft. This is normal annd it will harden as it cools. Once cool cut into squares and enjoy!
To add an extra treat why not melt some plain chocolate and spread it on to the tops. Or include a handful of chocolate chips or even finely chopped fruit/raisains in the mixture to be extra healthy.
Play around with different toppings or extras until you get the perfect flavour for you!
