Respect is earned not given

Treat people the way you want to be treated.
Talk to people the way you want to be talked to.

The problem is people expect to be given all the respect without having earned it. You can not go around being rude to people and assume they are going to treat you well. You attract what you put out. If you treat those around you badly, they aren’t going to spend their time and effort being kind to you.

Like wise if you talk rudely or aggressively to someone, but would be upset if it was done to you, then how do you think they feel.

We all need to take a moment to think how we’d feel if that action or words were spoken to us. If the answer is you’d not like it then STOP. Do not continue with that action or words if you’d not accept it. Because why would others be ok with that, and why do you feel like your owed respect for your poor behaviour.
