No one tells you that the hardest part of Motherhood is when your kids grow up!
As soon as you get pregnant there will be lots of talk about what there is to ‘look forward to’. People always put a lot of empthesis on the fact the baby stage is hard because of the lack of sleep. People will put empthesis on the fact toddlers can be absolute terrors at times, and the same with teenagers thanks to all the hormones. But in reality those times pass all too quickly. Those sleepless nights end, and the temper tantrums will be over… and then comes the hardest part.
When they reach a certain point, you are no longer their ‘best friend’. They grow up and get friends, boyfriends and over influences come about. And before you know it they are independant and want to leave home to start their own lives! Of course this is the natural way of life. But cutting those strings and letting them go, make their own choices and live their own lives is the hardest of all!
But no matter what, they will always be our babies no matter how big they get!
