A little girl was sitting beside her grandfather while he read her a bedtime story.
Every now and then, she’d look away from the book and gently touch his wrinkled cheek… then touch her own smooth cheek.
After thinking for a moment, she asked,
“Grandpa, did God make you?”
He smiled and said, “Yes, sweetheart. God made me a long time ago.”
A few seconds later she asked,
“Grandpa, did God make me too?”
“Yes indeed, pumpkin,” he replied. “God made you just a little while ago.”
The little girl touched both their faces again thoughtfully, smiled, and whispered:
“God’s getting better at it, isn’t He?”
