I Lifted My Blanket and Found Something I Had Never Seen Before
After a long, exhausting day, all I wanted was to get home, crawl into bed, and finally relax.
But when I lifted the blanket, I immediately stopped.
Something was underneath.

How Did a Treehopper End Up in My Bed?
Treehoppers are normally found outdoors, particularly on trees, shrubs, and other plants.
They feed primarily on plant sap, so a bedroom isn’t exactly their preferred habitat.
That means this little visitor most likely ended up indoors by accident.
It could have slipped through an open window or door, or perhaps hitched a ride indoors on clothing, a bag, or another object that had been outside.
Eventually, it somehow found its way beneath the blanket.
Not exactly the bedtime companion anyone expects.
Thankfully, There Was No Reason to Panic
Finding a strange insect underneath your blanket can certainly be unsettling, especially when you don’t know what you’re looking at.
But this wasn’t a bed bug, and there was no reason to assume that my home had suddenly developed an infestation.
It was simply a treehopper that had somehow wandered into the wrong place.
