If you can’t look back at your younger self and realise that you were an idiot,
you are probably still an idiot.
There are so many times in life that I look back on now and think, wow! I was such an idiot. I guess that is part and parcel of growing up, that you make mistakes and learn from them. You are bound to be an silly when you are younger. But if you are not willing to admit it now, then it probably means that you still are stupid.
Thats the problem these days. No one is willing to admit their flaws or mistakes. But in this case, it isn’t a bad thing and you should be able to admit it. It’s fine when you are growing to make many mistakes. Thats why the saying goes ‘young and stupid’. When you are younger you think you know it all but you really don’t. As you grow up and experience life you realise what’s right and wrong, what not to do and thats the main thing, growth and learning. If you aren’t growing and learning then you’ll be stuck being stupid. I’m still a bit of an idiot. But some things just don’t change and I am one of those things.
